JBA Missionary Families
Four ways to support missionaries:
1. Pray, pray, and pray some more. Whether they are on US or foreign soil, they need you as their prayer partner. Here's an idea, maybe you could Skype with a missionary during a Wed. night prayer service and pray over them!
2. Commit to regular financial support. Your faithful giving to our yearly Missions offerings are crucial in answering the call to missions. Perhaps you could even send a special missionary family a gift at Christmas or on their birthday.
3. Help combat homesickness. Send care packages with some of their favorite items (that may not be available in their area), letters, and cards on special occasions. Don't forget the MKs either, missionary kids are often overlooked!
4. Help missionary families during furloughs. Often times, they return home tired and weary. Offer to help find them housing, pick them up from the airport, pay for a week's rental at the beach or mountains. Once rested, invite them into your church to share their stories from the field.
